Unicrimp adds a bra...
Unicrimp, part of the Scolmore Group of companies, continues to expand its Q-Nect range of lever connectors and junction boxes. The addition of the semi-transparent lid takes the IP Box to the next level, allowing you to see the inside connections without compromising the integrity of the enclosure.
Unicrimp continues to expand its popular Q-Crimp range with the most latest additions including a Green Earth Inspection Box and Hexagon Plain Driller Screws.
Unicrimp adds a brand new category to its cable accessories range. Focusing on strong, quick and reliable solutions, the new Q-Nect range offers great versatility for electrical connections. Each product is packed with features which makes your installations quicker and easier.
It’s now over a year since Scolmore Group launched its dedicated YouTube channel SGTV, and the mix of interviews, news and tutorials that are hosted has generated regular engagement and great reviews from electricians. We understand the time pressures that electricians face, now more than ever as they get back to working after the rigours of lockdown. As a result we are now making some of the SGTV content available through a brand new series of weekly podcasts, enabling them to tune in at a time that suits them.
Regular engagement with contractors is how Scolmore gains valuable insight into how electricians like to work and what products and solutions they need to help them do their work in the most time- and cost-efficient way. With the coronavirus pandemic leading to the cancellation or postponement of live events and the restriction of the working patterns of many in the industry, more and more electricians have been relying on SGTV as a valuable platform. It has offered them a wealth of information via interviews, tutorials, challenges, unboxings and product overviews, as well as highlighting key industry news, events and dates for the calendar.
We have been very lucky to have some well-known electricians sharing their views and experiences, with David Savery, Nick Bundy and Karen Boom all featuring prominently. Plus some of the industry’s leading talents - Billy Byrne, Tony Cable, Tim Shaw and Thomas Nagy - are also making regular appearances. During lockdown SGTV featured a number of electricians talking about their experiences and how they have managed to keep going through the pandemic.
The release of material via the SGTV weekly podcast is giving electricians more choice about the way they consume the content they are interested in. The podcasts can be accessed across all streaming devices by searching SGTV. In the launch episode Scolmore talked to Alex from Coleg Cambria and Neil McManus from Leicester College about their experiences working in the electrical educational system and how apprenticeships can help in the career journey.
Episode 2 had Paul Chaffers and Richard Townsend from NAPIT and Ryan Dempsey from E5 talking about the new legislation of EICR within the private rented sector.
There’s a lot more exciting content in the pipeline and Scolmore welcomes any suggestions for topics that electricians would like to hear about or interviewees they would like to listen to.
