Scolmore Group is proud to announce the promotion of Mark Flanagan to the position of Technical Director.
With over 20 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry and a strong background in product development and quality control, Mark is well-equipped to lead the company's technical operations and further elevate Scolmore’s commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative products to customers worldwide.
Qualified in electrical/electronic engineering, Mark started his career as an apprentice for a lighting manufacturer, where he would spend a decade working as a technical engineer. He then moved to Scolmore Group, joining the company in 2012 as a Quality Control Engineer. Over the years, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical expertise, quickly progressing to roles of increasing responsibility. From Quality Control Manager to Technical Manager, and later Head of Product Development, Mark’s expertise has been integral to the company’s continued success. His promotion to Technical Director reflects his significant contributions and his proven ability to lead and innovate.
As Technical Director, Mark will oversee all product-related activities, including product design, quality control, technical support, test lab operations, and lighting schemes. His primary role will involve leading the product development programme, ensuring that products meet customer needs, quality standards, and comply with UK legislation and international regulations.
Heading up a growing team of technical engineers and product designers, Mark will be responsible for key decisions for all technical issues, constantly evaluating products and processes to drive best practice.
